Who we are

Hyde Heath Theatre Company, originally called Hyde Heath Drama Group, was founded in 1965 by an enthusiastic band of ladies from the Village WI who created a thriving group which continues to this day.

We are an all inclusive group ranging from budding young actors to our more senior members and encourage all to take part both on stage and behind the scenes.

We aim to stage two productions a year, one at the end of January and one in the Spring, April/May. Rehearsals are held on Mondays and Fridays in the village hall at 8pm

Productions include all types of theatre including plays, musicals, comedies and pantomimes, which have been specially written for us.

As well as successfully staging plays by Agatha Christie, Noel Coward, Ray Cooney and Alan Aykbourn, we pride ourselves in trying more challenging productions on our small stage, including ‘Cabaret’, ‘A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum’, The Railway Children, the Musical’ and ‘Dancing at Lughnasa’ and many more.

The Village Hall is a wonderful venue with a unique atmosphere and the Theatre Company provides local entertainment as part of the many social events held there during the year.
