Hyde Heath Cricket Club have long been plagued with soggy conditions whenever it rains due to poor drainage on the common - but now, with the agreement and assistance of the Council a major project is being undertaken to install proper land drainage.

Club members, wives & families are pitching in with the help of Bill Franklin and his digger to dig a trench all around the square and install land drainage pipes which will take water away.
