We scored over the whole season 3,314 runs for the loss of 141 wickets - an average of 23.50 ( LY 19.68). Our opponents scored 3,197 runs for the loss of 169 wickets - an average of 18.92 ( 13.67 ).

The Hyde Heath captain won the toss 11 times, opting to field first on 8 occasions. Opposing captains, winning the toss 11 times, chose to bat first in 5 instances.

Hyde Heath bowled out the opposition in 9 ( 14 ) matches.

Henry Capper scored his maiden century, 117 not out at Box. He also scored 4 other half-centuries and he was aided and abetted by Matt Sims, three, Richard Cousins, Chris Heck and Adam Pusey, one each. In addition there were maiden half-centuries by Richard Austin, Dominic Haddock and Simon Napier-Munn. Congratulations to them all.

Only one bowler achieved five wickets in an innings, or better. Jeremy Stevens did it three times, 8 wickets for 12 runs off 11 overs at home to Great Gaddesden being his best.

There were two hat-tricks ... Richard Austin took the last three wickets at Little Missenden with consecutive deliveries, and, later in the season at Longwick, Tom Jeffreys also achieved " three in a row ", the first being caught on the deep square leg boundary, the second being bowled and the third being caught in the nether regions of the popping crease by Atif Mirza.

Also at Longwick the Club was rescued by a father and son stand of 77. Henry ( 63 and John Capper ( 41 ) took the innings total from a wobbly 60 for 4 wickets to a fairly respectable 137 for 5.

Matt Sims recorded his highest score for the Club, 90, in the splendid four-wicket win over Bourne End.

Hyde Heath batsmen hit 17 sixes during the season. The big hitters were Dominic Haddock 4, Henry Capper 3, Tim Barnsley 2, ChrisHeck 2, Richard Cousins, Warren Gordon, Joel Kelly, Atif Mirza, Adam Pusey and Jeremy Stevens one each.
