‘Thinking of others’ is achieved, not by brainwashing
or lectures, just by cooperation with each other and the Leaders, by
gaining responsibility as they get older and by helping occasionally in
the local community. The Brownies have run brilliant games at the Village
Fete and the Christmas Bazaar, they have sung songs with the residents of
‘Rayners’ and baked cakes for the elderly people of Hyde Heath.
Do you think you could be a Brownie Leader? Would you
like the opportunity to help our girls become caring adults? The future of
Brownies in the village is at risk so even if you can’t take this on
yourself, do you know someone who could? Two friends maybe?
