FRIDAY SHOPPING TRIP FROM HYDE HEATH TO CHESHAM The Age Concern bus is used for a shopping trip from Hyde Heath to Chesham every Friday. Only people aged 60 or over are permitted to travel as passengers on the bus. The pick-up in Hyde Heath is at 1pm in Meadow Way near Brays Meadow. A voluntary contribution of £2 from each passenger for the round trip is normally donated to cover running expenses of the vehicle. The bus travels to Chesham where it is parked in Sainsbury's car park until passengers have completed their shopping. It is then moved to near the main bus stop in The Broadway or into the nearby car park for pick-up at about 2.30pm for the return to Hyde Heath. Passengers and their shopping will be dropped off at their homes. The roster of drivers is shown below. If you are not one of our regular passengers, and you would like to travel on the bus, please contact that Friday's duty driver to check if space is available. From 19 September 2008 we will have another driver. If you know of anyone else, who may be able to spare about 3 hours a month and would also like to join our team of drivers, please ask them to contact any of the present drivers. Full training will be provided.
Please notify any changes to
Bill Newman.
